Currently looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to fill a temporary opening with a temporary staffing company located in Mahwah, NJ. Interested candidates should have prior human resource experience and strong accounting and office management skills.


Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist


  • Execute In-house weekly payroll, weekly taxes for Federal and State NJ NY + ACH payroll transfer
  • Produce Quarterly reports + taxes for Federal and State NJ NY
  • Invoicing
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Journal Entries
  • General Ledger
  • Prepare Financial Statements
  • Complete Cloud based system connects employees, job orders, and customers.


Requirements of the Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist


  • Prior Human resource experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong accounting and office management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks
  • Experience using an online payroll program such as ADP, Paychex, etc




3+ Years Accounting experience

Human Resources experience

Staffing experience a plus

 Part Time Monday Tuesday Thursday (possibly full time)
